I'm a journalist, and have been since July 1971, which is when I started full-time, daily work. I worked for 29.7 years, a little more or slightly less, for The Atlanta Journal Constitution and for eight years before that for The Associated Press in a number of states, winding up in Manhattan. Before earning a journalism degree I also worked at two weeklies, though not at the same time. So I’ve been at this a while. Currently I’m freelancing, but not much, mostly for my old employer, The AJC. Also have written for Sky magazine, WebMD, the Marietta Daily Journal, AP again, what's left of UPI. Working on a book on mid-19th century newspapers.
This blog will be used to store random things that I find interesting, funny or sad, such as poems, studies, pictures, essays. I'm getting old and by glancing at this blog I will be able to remember what I would otherwise forget. Or what I have forgotten. You know.
