I'm a journalist, and have been since July 1971, which is when I started full-time, daily work. I worked for 29.7 years, a little more or slightly less, for The Atlanta Journal Constitution and for eight years before that for The Associated Press in a number of states, winding up in Manhattan. Before earning a journalism degree I also worked at two weeklies, though not at the same time. So I’ve been at this a while. Currently I’m freelancing. Mostly for my old employer, The AJC.
This blog will be used to describe my travels and travails, and eventually to explore the history of Atlanta and the world (when my ship comes in).
